Volunteers are vital to daily operations!

Our volunteers fully embraced the spirit of our mission last year, collectively dedicating over 8,200 hours to assist Caring Community Friends in addressing local needs. However, in light of ongoing challenges related to hunger and homelessness in our service areas, it is essential to continue building on this momentum.

Every hour volunteered contributes to substantial positive change within our community.

We invite you to join us during our flexible drop-in hours, or become an "on-call" volunteer, and engage in transforming lives through compassionate service.

Join Our Standby Squad!

What is the Standby Squad?

Made up of On-Call Volunteers who don't have capacity to volunteer at a regular time each week, the Standby Squad are the reinforcements that keep CCF running smoothly!

While we have consistent volunteers Monday-Friday, life happens - vacations, appointments, and unexpected absences occur. That's when we call you in for support!

On-Call Volunteers:

  • Receive training in key areas

  • Get notified when substitute help is needed

  • Choose which opportunities fit their schedule

  • Typically help for 2-4 hour shifts

  • Make a tremendous impact with flexible commitment

Perfect for: Retirees with flexible schedules, college students, teachers during summer break, work-from-home professionals, or anyone who wants to help but can't commit to a regular weekly schedule.
